Two Touch Timer Free
An Android* application providing a countdown timer, a stopwatch with lap times, and an alarm clock.
This version is now ad supported. The paid version has no ads.
The TwoTouch Timer application allows you to create multiple countdown
timer alarms each with its own control widget. You can select a sound
file
of your choice for each timer. You can also create multiple stopwatches
or alarmclocks with control widgets. Stopwatches can track lap times.
There are
options to vibrate before sounding an alarm or when an alarm starts,
display a snooze button, repeat sound files
and also to provide a notification with flashing LED and optional alarm
name.
Timer:
Press
a time button to set the timer. In "TwoTouch" mode, press Start to
start the countdown timer. In "OneTouch" mode, the timer starts when
the time button is pressed.
An
alarm will sound when the timer finishes. Press any display button to silence
the alarm. Back and home buttons will also silence the alarm.
Touching multiple time buttons will add times together if more precise timing is needed.
Press Stop to suspend the countdown or Clear to cancel the countdown.
A long press on a time button or the time button area will display a screen that allows the selection of alternate time buttons to display.
Stopwatch:
Press Start to start and display the stopwatch (when no timer is set) or press Watch to switch to stopwatch display.
Press Start to start/restart the count, Stop to stop counting.
Clear button will stop and reset the count.
Timer button will return to Timer display.
Alarm Clock:
Press Alarm to display the alarm clock.
Use the date and time selectors to set the desired alarm time.
Press the Set button to activate the alarm.
Press the Cancel button to cancel an active alarm.
Press the Repeat button to set or cancel automatic repeat of alarms.
Select one of Yearly, Monthly, Weekly, Daily or Other (custom) repeat cycles.
If Weekly is selected, specific weekdays can be requested.
If Other is selected, a custom time of hours, minutes and seconds can be entered.
Press Clear to cancel repeat option or Done to activate changes.
Press Clear twice to cancel repeat and erase weekday/custom settings.
Note that the countdown timer and the alarm clock in the same widget cannot be used at the same time.
Creating widgets:
To create additional alarms which can
be controlled by a "desktop" widget:
Hold a finger on an empty area of a
home screen until the "Add to Home screen" menu appears. A timer widget
uses a 2x1 widget size (1/2 screen width by 1/4 of screen
height).
Select "Widgets" - A list of available widgets will appear.
Select "OneTTwidget" - The Timer setup screen will
appear.
Enter a time value and press "Set" or "Set & Start" - A home screen
timer widget will be added.
If you pressed Set & Start, the
alarm countdown will start immediately.
The timer may be started or paused by pressing the start or pause icon
on the widget. The reset button will reset the timer to the starting
value.
The timer setup screen may be opened by pressing on the time shown in
the widget.
If the time set in the widget is zero or the set button is selected
from the stopwatch display, the widget will control a
stopwatch rather than a timer.
If a date-time alarm is set in the Alarm Clock display, the widget
will access the Alarm Clock rather than controlling the timer or
stopwatch. Use the cancel button on the Alarm Clock display
to cancel a date-time alarm.
The initial options settings for new widgets are copied from the
base application settings.
Menu Items:
Press the menu button to access the following items:
Help - to display this
help document.
Alarm Sound - to select an
alarm sound. If
no alarm has been selected, a built in default alarm is used. If
"Silent" is
chosen, no alarm will sound but vibrate and notify will still work. The
alarm volume can be adjusted with the phone volume control while the
application is open.
Time Buttons - to add or remove some time buttons. A long press
on a time button or the time button area will also display this
function.
Alarm Name - to enter a name
for the alarm.
Options - to select any of the
following options:
Start timer when time is selected - selects "OneTouch" or "TwoTouch" mode for basic timer only.
Turn off Ads for One Week - This option removes ads from screens for one week on ad supported versions.
Show Remaining Time for Alarm - alarm clock displays show time remaining until alarm occurs.
Alarm starts Stopwatch - When
the alarm sounds, the stopwatch will be started if not running. If the
alarm is a widget it will be changed into a stopwatch widget.
Vibrate
at Alarm - this option causes the phone to vibrate briefly when
the alarm sounds.
Vibrate before Alarm - causes the phone to vibrate briefly
before the alarm sounds.
Short Time Format - causes times to display without hours and
minutes if they are zero.
Flash LED - will cause a
notification with flashing LED if available. Android 2.1 users please
note that your OS version limits program access to the LED so that it
will not
turn on while the screen is on.
Notify - causes a
notification to appear when alarm sounds.
Show Tenths on Widgets -
stopwatch widgets show tenths of seconds. *** Warning - this option may
use more battery power and slow down phone response. ***
Play Alarm even in Silent Mode -
this option will force the alarm to sound when the phone is in silent
mode. If this option is not set, the alarm will be a silent
notification when the
phone is in silent mode.
Make Sound Files Repeat -
Forces alarm sound files to replay until silenced.
Show Snooze Button at Alarm -
Causes display of a screen with snooze and silence buttons at alarm.
Default snooze time is 10 minutes but 5, 15, 30, and 60 can also be
selected.
The full version with no ads is available through the Google Android Market or SlideME.
Designed for the Motorola Droid but works on many Android phones.
